COURSE DESCRIPTION

In today’s fast-paced and complex organizations, two cultural priorities often compete for dominance: efficiency and effectiveness. While both are essential, they are not the same—and choosing the wrong cultural focus for your organization’s current stage can quietly stall progress, misalign teams, and exhaust resources.

This session explores the core differences between a culture of efficiency and a culture of effectiveness, not as moral opposites but as distinct operating environments with different aims, structures, and strengths. We’ll examine how each culture functions, how to recognize and assess which one you currently have, and—most importantly—how to discern which culture your organization actually needs next based on your strategic challenges, growth phase, and stakeholder demands.

Drawing from Arbinger’s mindset-based frameworks, we’ll also explore how different mindsets shape and sustain each culture differently. You’ll leave with practical tools and reflective questions to assess your current state, identify cultural misalignment, and cultivate the right kind of cultural foundation—without losing sight of the people who make your results possible.
