Educator's Tea-time talk
Arbinger Institute's Tea-Time Talk Series
Why are some people so difficult to talk to?
Unscramble the code to effective engagement
Synopsis
Why are some people so difficult to talk to?
Building a healthy learning ecosystem for every child is no easy feat; different relationships are at play. While our intention to approach and nurture these relationships is right, a fundamental link is still missing. Beyond the necessary “skills”, what really determines success in navigating and strengthening engagement, be it with parents, students or colleagues, especially when it seems challenging?
In this session, we will explore the little-known ingredient to nurture meaningful engagement even in difficult situations. Educators will be introduced to a simple yet refreshing framework that can helpfully guide efforts, strategies and communication to strengthen relationships, alignment and buy-in from stakeholders.
